6 Months!

Ford is 6 months old today! Happy 6 month old birthday Ford! He just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I can't believe it has been a half of a year already. It kindof makes me sad to think about. But I cherish each minute now! It really does fly by so quickly. He are Ford's stats:)
At 6 months....
Sits alone for a really long time
Rolls over from back to bellie
Loves being on his bellie...so he won't roll onto his back very much
Love eating rice cereal and especially sweet potatoes
Has a little squeal noise he makes
Knows how to get you to hold him...crying that is
Wanting to crawl so badly but can't get up on all fours yet
Squirms around alot
Likes picking his toys up and putting them in his mouth
No teeth yet, but any day now!
Loves talking...well baby talk that is!
Has started reaching his arms out when he wants you to hold him
Works the camera already
Very busy...He will be into everything when he can crawl

So much has changed even from last month! It is so exciting to watch Ford each day. We love you little man!Wanting to tear his sign up!trying so hard to get the sign

Bananas

Today is Ford's 6 month Birthday...so he got a little treat...Bananas! He wasn't so sure about them at first. But then he ate them right up! This was his first fruit to try. Next we will try some apples! Way to go Ford! You are such a big boy!Not quite sure about the first couple of bites...Deciding he likes them!

Now I want to help Mommy!

Lipscomb Homecoming

On Saturday, January 24th 2009, Mary Kathryn, Ford's cousin was in the Homecoming court at Lipscomb. So we went to see her. She looked beautiful as always! Everything was decorated so nicely. She is a freshman in high school there. Ford liked watching too!

Happy 1 year Anniversary!

On January 18th 2008 Gabe and I were married! So we have offically been married a year now! We celebrated our anniversary by eating at Maggianos, which is where we had our rehersal dinner. They let us eat family style which was so yummy. We got so much good food! Ford stayed with Noni and papa until we finished eating. That morning Gabe had flowers for me and we exchanged cards! Oh... and of course we ate our year old cake! It wasn't too bad actually:) It was a wonderful day. We talked all day about what we were doing at this time last year! Gabe is such a wonderful husband and God couldn't of blessed me with a better man to share my life with! I love you Gabe!

We like basketball practice...

Gabe is playing church league basketball this year. He and the other men on the team are trying to practice every week before the game. Usually they practice on Mondays or Tuesdays. While they practice, Ford and I hangout with Laura and Ella Tate...and hopefully Courtney and Nolen will be there soon! We have so much fun letting the little ones play while we girls talk! Here are some pics of Ella Tate and Ford!

Ford looks like he want to eat Ella Tate!...j/k but he loves watching her!

Ford's visit with Jack

A couple weeks ago Jack came over to play with Ford! Amy and I ate dinner and the boys played. Ford loved watching Jack play with his football. And Jack had a little accident and had to wear some of Ford's18 month old clothes home! We sure love spending time with them! Looks like they are making a game plan!Sweet kissHugs are great

Ford and Hanley's playdate!

Last week our good friend Amanda and her son Hanley came over to visit. Hanley was born on October 1, 2008, so he and Ford are about two months apart. We gt some really good pictures of them looking at each other. Ford kept trying to grad at Hanley or push him over when they would sit next to each other...poor Hanley! We all ate lunch at Puffy Muffin, and Any Hamilton came along too! We love our aunt Amy! It was such a wonderful day, and we look forward to more visit with them!

Visit to the Nursery

Two Sunday mornings ago, Ford and Nolen had their first visit to the nursery at church! They had a good report and seemed to have a great time while their mommys and daddys were in church! Maybe they will start class soon too!

Mary Kathryn's Talent Show

Two Saturday nights ago we attended the Lipscomb High School Talent show. Our cousin, also know as our sister and aunt, sang a beautiful song in the show! She did an awesome job. It was Ford's first time to go to a concert of any type. He loved looking at the lights and the people on stage. Unfortunately, we had to leave early because it was too loud for him. There were alot of bands who were just too loud! After we left, we went across the street to eat at Pizza Perfect! It was so yummy and what a fun family night!

Big Boy Carseat!

For Christmas Ford got a new "big boy" carseat! He wasn't so sure about it at first because it sits more upright, and I think it took him a few times riding in it to get used to it. Now he loves it though. And he sures looks so big in it!

Green peas

On New Year's Day Ford tried green peas. Needless to say, he hated them. The first couple bites weren't so bad. But then he started to get chills every time I'd gve him a bite, and he would spit them back out. We kept on trying until he finally gagged himself so badly that he full out threw up! So Ford definitely thinks green peas are yucky! Here are a few pictures of the fun feeding!

Happy 2009!

This is our first blog for the year! Wow...what a blessing last year was. We had so many life changing events that we experienced in 2008. I graduated from nursing school, got my first job, and moved away from home for good. 2008 was also the year of two of the most important life events for our family....Gabe and I married, and we welcome a precious baby boy, Ford! So needless to say, this past year was amazing in that sense. In another sense, it was a hard year full of sickness and surgeries. I now think our family is getting healthy and back on tract, but it took some time! Now all I have is thanksgiving in my heart to God for blessing our family so much in 2008. I only hope 2009 can bring as much joy as I have felt this past year!

This year to celebrate the New Year, we drove down to Tim's Ford lake to stay at the Martin's lake house. It is so fun to be there. It is decorated to pretty, and I always feel like I am at a bed a breakfeast or a little retreat! Adam and Anna were there and a couple, Lindsey and Jeremy. We had a wonderful time. We of course took Ford, and he had fun too being the center of attention. On New Year's Day we drove back home and ate dinner at both sets of parents house. I love spending New Years with our families! What a wonderful way to start the new year!
