Brady's 1 year birthday!

So I am officaially a terrible blogger:( I have a goal to improve! But the exciting news for today that has caused me to jump back on blogging is that Brady's 1st birthday was this weekend!! I cannot believe it has been a year since our Brady was born. What a blessing this little boys has been to us all. We are so thankful for him, and Ford loves having a little brother! Ford's birthday celebrations!

The morning of Ford's birthday, we all woke up and Gabe and I took Ford to a special birthday breakfeast at Bread and Company. He loves their waffles! They we went to Toys R Us so he could get a birthday balloon and look around the store! He had such a fun time. Once we got home, we had to start preparing for his family party that night. We had both families over to celebrate. Ford had so much fun. He got lots of cool gifts. Maw Maw made him his b-day outfit to carry on the tradition from last year! Brady turned 3 months on Saturday the 12th. It has been a whole month since the last post which was his 2 month bday! Wow...time is really flying, and I say that every post I feel like. Will it ever slow down?! Probably not, so I try to soak up every moment even though life gets crazy busy. These boys have been the biggest blessings of my life, and yes, all 3 boys:) So here are some pictures and fun facts about Brady at 3 months!

Ford has grown quite fond of his baby brother Brady! We are so pleased with how he acts around him. Ford gets concerned when Brady cries, and he will often try to put his pacie in his mouth. Ford is a sweet big brother!

Lawn mowers...by far Ford's new obsession! Both granddads have gotten Ford to be in love with them. He walks around all the time talking about them. He thinks that what tractors are too. While we were in Gatlinburg, he even called shouted "lawn mower" about a woman on a moterized scooter...oops! Here are a few pictures of Ford with his lawer mower/tractor!

A couple weeks ago while Brady napped, Ford and I made some yummy homemade cookies together! We had so much fun. Ford kept saying "edds...ew." This of course meant eggs...ew! I told him not to touch the eggs because I have a salmonella fobia. So I thought it was pretty cute he picked up on that! The cookies turned out delicious after using the new recipe. Baby Brady is 1 Month Old!

Our sweet Brady is already one month old...why does time go by so quickly?! He is beginning to develop his own personality which is so fun to watch. I started taking pictures of Ford each month when he was around 3 months old until he was about 12 months, so I thought I would try and keep this up with Brady to watch him grow. So here are a few things Brady does right now...

3-4 awake times during the day (1-3 hours each)

feeds every 3-4 hours

good sleeper at night

smiles back at you occassionally

loves being held when he is awake

makes sweet little coos

Today I watched the video of his birth, and it brought on the tears! Children are such an amazing gift from God. What a wonderful feeling to know you made a child inside your body. I did not enjoy pregnancy as much as some women, but I do miss it at times. But seeing Brady each morning with his eyes open, makes all the aches and pains of pregnancy and after worth it! We are so blessed to have these amazing two boys, and each day I praise God for these two wonderful gifts!

Baby Brady Gabriel Watson has arrived!

In March 12, 2010, we welcomed Brady to the world! He was born at 8:19 am, weighing 8 lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long. He has beautiful brown hair and blue eyes. I had a c-section and am recovering well. Brady is a great baby....sleeps, eats, pees, and poops! He doesn't cry very much at all. We are so blessed to have a healthy and happy family! God is so so good to us everyday. Ford is adjusting day by day. He took the change hard at first, but now he is liking him! I will work on posting more pics, but for now here are some of his birthday! Thank you to our family and friends for their support, and to everyone for the prayers and encouraging words through these last 10 months!

Katie Mosley took some beautiful pictures 2 weeks ago. I really didn't care to have maternity pics of just me, since I feel HUGE. So she took some of us all. It was a very cold morning, and Ford was fussy...little did we know he had an ear infection that day:( But they ended up turning out so great! Thank you Katie for the beautiful pictures!

18 month check up!

Last week we had a big Wednesday full of doctors appointments. Gabe took the day off so he could be with us and help me:) First we went to Ford's 18 month check up. He did a great job. Here are his stats:

27 lbs. 3 oz. (65%)

33 3/4" length (85%)

19 3/8" head circum. (85%)

What a big boy we have, and so blessed that he is healthy. He did not have to get any vaccines!! They did check his vision, and it was great! Sadly, it was our last visit with Dr. Ewing:( We love her so much, and we will miss her so much! Next up on agenda for the day was a trip to see Dr. Christopherson, who is Ford's ortho doc. We where supposed to have a follow up for his right foot once he began walking. The checkup went so well. He said his foot looked awesome, and that he would see him back after his 2 year bday. And probably in the fall, he would do an outpatient procedure on his foot to lengthen his arch. All in all it was a busy day, but we had wonderful news all around!listening very hard to what Dr. Chris is saying!

Valentine's weekend

This weekend we went to Ellie's 9th birthday at the Brentwood skate center. My was that a crazy place on a Saturady! Ford had so much fun watching all the children skate, until he wanted to get down and play. Kindof a dangerous place for little people fyi! For the most part, we spent the weekend at home, which was so nice! Gabe and I still have to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, so we are going to combine the too and do it in the next coulpe weeks! We had a few friends over to watch the Colts face off the Saints. I was sad with the outcome, but we all had a great time. We had some yummy food, a coffee run, and the kids demolished the house!! Can't wait to do it again next year since it has become a tradition! Thank you to the Guthrie's and Alsup's for a fun night:)

We had a big snow several weeks ago. Ford loved it! He kept going to the window and saying "no"...which he meant snow. We took him out for a few minutes since we had all been sick. He loved thorwing snowballs and crunching around in the beautiful snow!

We recently changed Ford's room to a "big boy" room! He now has a big bed, and a little play area, which he loves. He will just sit in the corner of his room where his toys are all day. He loves climbing up on top of his kitchen to try and get on the bed...he is definitely a big boy now!

So I have been a very bad blogger since right after Christmas:( We have had sickness in our house almost all on January, but we are finally on the mend! So here is a long post to catch up on things!

New Year's went by pretty fast. Not alot of pics that day, because Ford came down with the stomach bug, and then I got it. Thanks alot Chucky Cheese! We ate at both families houses that day then came home to begin the fun of stomach bugs...

One night we went to the Guthrie's house to watch the SEC championship game. The boys had a great time playing!

Then, one night Ella Tate came over to play while her parents had some things to do. I guess that was a good little practice for me since Gabe was still at work. They played so well together and made a big mess!!

Here are some pics from our trip to the circus! It was so much fun. Laura and Ella Tate, and Courtney, Nolen, and Grady went with us! Thank you to Laura for getting the tickets! Ford fell asleep about 45 min into the show, but then woke up after intermission. He loved the horses and elephants the most!Ford loves bananas!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning at our house started early! Ford had lots of gifts from Santa. Santa had also left him a not and eaten the treats we left him! He also left Ford a special Christmas ornament. Soon after we opened gifts at our house, we headed off to my parents house to have breakfeast with my mom's family! It was so yummy, and Santa visited their house too! Ford had a great time opening gifts there. Thank you to my parents for the wonderufl meal and all the gifts! We also spent time with Gabe's parents that afternoon, before heading back to my family's as well! It was a big day, and in the end, we were very grateful to be home and rest! It was a wonderful Christmas...the best Christmas yet. The days before Christmas...

Adam and Anna brought over some Christmas gifts for our little family! They got Ford a cute little puffy vest which he loved. And baby no. 2 got a sweet little blanket and soft onesie! They are so sweet and precious to us! Ford also loves them and playing with them.

Last week we went to lunch with Riley, her mom, and her grandma! We went to our usual spot...Puffy Muffin. It of course was so good, but very crowded. We let Ford and Riley play afterward outside. They were so cute together!

Ford exchanged gifts with Nolen and Ella Tate 2 days before Christmas too. We went to eat at Bread and Co for breakfeast. The kids had a blast!

The day before Christmas Eve, Ford got his second haircut. Above is the before picture. We went to Divas and Dudes in Cool Springs. Ford did not like getting his haircut this time. He did so well with his first haircut, but this one was pretty bad. But it turned out to be pretty cute suprisingly!getting off to a rough start

A couple of weeks ago, we went to see Santa at Green Hills Mall! We ate at Pancake Pantry before, which was yummy as alway. The fun story from that is when I asked for a booster seat to sit in the booth, and the lady brought us a sugar box. I in turn said no thanks that won't work....then she stated..." Well we've been using it for 40 years and it has worked!" My bad lady, so we ended up it on the floor so she would give it up! Our friends, the Guthrie's and Alsup's minus the dads, went with us. It was a great time! Ella Tate was the only one who was a little unsure of Santa. But all in all it was a great time!

Last Saturday, Dec. 5th, we went to Emily Reeves and Sam Carbine's wedding. It was a pretty day to get married, plus it was a special place, because Gabe and I got married at Whiteman Chapel almost 2 years ago!After the wedding we had some friends over to our house to watch the SEC championship game! Life over the past month...

Ford got his first haircut on Halloween day. I forgot to blog about it, but his rat tail is officially gone:( He looks more liek a big boy, and Miss Allison did and wonderful job! He did very well while getting it cut, and especially enjoyed the clippers shaving the little hairs on his neck....I guess the vibration felt good to him!no more rat tail!

Ford also had his 15 month check up this month. He did so well, even after getting 4 shots! Here are his stats:

25 lbs. 13 oz. (70%)

31 3/4" in length (70%)

19 "head circumference (80%)

Halloween this year was much more fun for Ford! He liked dressing up as a pumpkin and seeing all the other kids come and trick or treat. We did not take him out since it was so cold. We had chili at Nan Nan and B-daddy's along with alot of family and friends. It was a great night!

So, last year Courtney started us a tradition and hosted a new mommies brunch. We thought it would be fun to do each year with the same group who had babies within months apart. So we had the 2nd annual brunch last wednesday at my house. We had yummy food while the babies all played together! It was fun to sit around with all the other moms and share stories and just watch the babies play! I look forward to next year:)

Trunk or Treat!

Last saturday night, we had Trunk or Treat at church. It was our first year to go. Ford dressed up as a pumpkin. It was alot of fun. We also got to have Bonner and Hayden go with us. They had a great time too. Ford was more interested in throwing his candy out of his bag than anything. All in all it was a great night, and all the children looked so cute in their costumes!

Walden Farm

Last Tuesday, Ford, Gabe, and I went to Walden farm. The Guthries where there with there boys, and Laura and Ella Tate, and Hannah! We had a wonderful time. It was my first time to go the the farm, and I had no idea how huge it was and how much there is to do. We looked at all the animals, did the corn maze, a hay ride, and took lots and lots of pictures! Here are some for you to enjoy. Two weekends ago, we attended Train Day! We had never been before, and it was so neat. Ford was asleep when we got there and unfortunately did not get to ride the train. We did get some cute pics with him and Ella Tate sitting in the train.I was working on the sewing machine last week and turned around and saw this...yes, Ford sitting up on his train table. You maybe asking the same question I did...How did he get up there?....well I set him down to see if he would do it again and he did it by climbing on the toy to the far right at the end of the table. Pretty creative!

Here are some pics from our visit with Ashley and Riley over at there house. Mrs. Dunham brought Puffy Muffin breakfeast over and we let the children play! My mom came over too so the grandmamas got to visit too!

Ella Tate turned 1 year old on September 18th! Yay for Ella Tate. Her party was so much fun and the food was yummy. She was the cutest little one year old girl in her pretty party dress. Ella Tate loved her cake and ate alot of it! Next up was my 25th birthday celebration. I turned 25 on Septmeber 30th! My mom took me and ford to Bread and Company for lunch on my birthday. that is one of my favorite places to eat...it was so so good! Then on Saturday after my bday, my mom and dad had a family party for me at their house. We had some yummy food, and I got some awesome gifts! It was a wonderful birthday:)

The girls also took me to Omikoshi for my birthday! It was so good. Thank you girls so much for the nice bday dinner.

Our newest addition...

Yes, all the rumors floating around are true!! We are expecting baby no. 2. Today we had an ultrasound. Everything looked great and it put the baby due on March 21st. So I am 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant! We are so very excited to have Ford a sibiling on the way. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we venture into the world of two children!

Labor Day and Gabe's birthday weekend!

We celebrated Gabe's birthday on Sept 5th. His parents had us over, and they cooked steaks and shrimp, which are Gabe's favorite foods! He got lots of nice gifts and it was great to spend alot of time with our families! Then on Labor day we cooked out at his parents house, then went across the street to eat with my family. My dad built Ford a swing set for his swing. I believe that is his favorite thing to do now!! It looks great...Thank you B-daddy! Last weekend, we invited some friends to celebrate Gabe's birthday out at Amerigos. We had a great time and thank all our wonderful friends for coming to celebrate with us!

Sometimes I feel like I am the worst blogger EVER! So here is a long blog to catch up on our life events over the past month. Hopefully I can stay caught up better after this post:)

First, are some pics from our last brunch with Ashley and Riley. We go to Puffy Muffin just about every week with our mothers and babies! We always have a wonderful time getting to visit. Ford and Riley are pretty cute together too!

These next pics are from a day a couple weeks ago that Laura and Ella Tate came over for a bit to visit. Ella Tate and Ford played in his room for a while...and Ella Tate had to borrow one of Ford's outfits after she sat on blueberries and made a mess!

A few weekends ago, Gabe and I got to babysit for the precious Kirkland children. I kept them for about 3-4 years until we had Ford. They have never spent the night with any other babysitter but me, so we all had a blast. But I definitley understand that 3 children are a handful! Bonner is 8 and Hayden is 5. They are absolutely precious!

Ford also had his 12 month check up this past month. He did not like going to the office this time, which was a big difference from his normal happy attitude at the Dr's. Here are his stats:

23 lbs. 11 oz. (65%)

30" in length (55%)

18 7/8" Head circumference (90%)

Dr. Ewing had to give us some pointers to get ready for toddler times, and how to start disciplining effectivly....yikes!

Happy 28th Birthday Gabe!!

That's right...this day 28 years ago, our precious Gabriel Arthur Watson was born into this very world. We did not know what we had coming....haha!! We love our hubby and daddy!! We started the morning with breakfeast casserole, cheese grits, and orange rolls, which are Gabe's favorite breakfeast! We are having a family party later today to celebrate his special day. You are such a blessing to our lives, Gabe. Always know how much we love and cherish you! Happy 28th birthday....only 2 more years till the big 30!!

My cousin Mary Kathryn celebrated her 16th birthday on July 31st, just one day after Ford's bday! Her parents had her a family party on that saturday. Her dad Drew cooked hamburgers and everything was delicious! She got some good gifts too!

On Sunday, my mom and dad had a little birthday celebration for Ford and Mary Kathryn. The cake as you can see is split, one side for each birthday! We certainly have had quite the celebrations around our house. That could be one reason I am so late at blogging....I was exhausted from the parties!! Enjoy the pics!

On Friday night the Guthries came over to let Ford open his gift since they would not be at the party on Saturday. So we let the kidos play for a while as we grown ups visited. On Saturday, we had some people over to celebrate Ford's brithday again! It was a beautiful day. We ate pizza and cake. Ford still wasn't very into his cake. In fact this time, he got made that icing was on his hands and he squeezed his fists and grunted with anger. It was pretty funny! So I guess my child was the one who did not mess in his cake, but that is ok! I ordered the cake from a girl named Kelly. If you are interested in seeing her blog it it kellykakes.blogspot.com! Ford's big day...1 year old!

We started out the day by going to eat breakfeast at Puffy Muffin. Ford had some birthday pancakes and bacon. He loved them! At the end of breakfeast, they told us on your birthday you get a free cookie...I don't think they advertise this so you must ask! Ford got a huge green iced turtle cookie! It was very cute. The rest of the day was spent playing and preparing for his big family party. So we decided to have both families over for spaghetti. Everyone came over at 6:01pm, the time of his birth:) We had a wonderful time eating, opening gifts, and of course having cake! I am going to try and make his cake every year. Just one tradition I thought to have. This year I did a big cupcake cake. It turned out pretty cute I think. About the cake, Ford did not exactly smash it like I thought he would. He took one big bite, saw his gifts laying on the floor in front of him, and decided it was time to play. Advice to other parents...do gifts last! But all in all it was a wonderful day and party! This day 12 months ago exactly, at 6:01pm, our precious little boy Ford Arthur came into the world to welcome us. Ford has been such a blessing to our lives, as you all know who have children! Ford was unexpected, but has been the best gift from God that our family could ask for. Each day that Ford grows, he learns new things. He is the happiest child I know. We love him so very much. He has taught us patience and to have so much compassion. Having Ford also teaught us to cherish each day. Life is so preicous, and God has given us a special gift to have and raise children. This day we thank our Father for giving us this angel baby!
We also thank our family and friends. Without you, we would of not made it through this first year! We love you all.

He loves sitting on the bottom ledge of the table, and I guess somehow he fell behind it! At first he thought it was funny, then he decided it was not funny at all since he couldn't move!

Ford has been sick with a fever virus for 5 days now. We went to the doctor today, and she said there was nothing we could do but to keep him comfortable. He has been so sad acting. Ford is usually very happy and smiley. He has still been smiley sometimes, but mostly he wants us to hold him all the time. He also isn't eating like normal. Needless to say, he feels pretty badly. Please pray for our little Ford so he can get better soon. Here are a couple of pics from this morning!

Two fridays ago Ford and I went to the blueberry farm with Laura and Ella Tate. We had a wonderful time picking all the blueberries. The weather was very hot though. Ford and I picked about 1 pound and Ella Tate and Laura picked 1 1/3 pounds! We ate lunch at Bread and Co. afterward, then went swimming! It was a fun day and the babies we so good! getting ready to pick some blueberries!

Wow! 11 months...that means at the end of this month he will be turning one year old! Time truly flies! Ford has learned so many things this past month. The most of it being words. It is so neat to hear them trying to communicate. His little voice is so precious to me. He also loves to laugh! We look forward to many more happy memories! We love you Ford Arthur! Ford's First Spend the Night!

Ok...Well maybe the title to this blog is decieving! Let me explain...Gabe and I decided to go on a date a couple weekends ago. We thought Ford would be ok spending the night with my parents. So off we went on our date with Adam and Anna. We had a wonderful dinner at Go Ten. And on our way home, I called to check on Ford and my dad said he was asleep and doing great! We went on home and got in bed. An hour later my dad called back and said that the phone had woken him up when I called and for an hour they had been trying to get him to go back to sleep! So at 1am I went and picked him up! He had a good try though. The funniest part about the situation is that when I brought him home and laid him in the bed, he chuckled like he knew he had gotten what he wanted! Maybe we will try again in the near future. But for now, I think he is pretty spoiled sleeping in our bed.

This blog is just playing catch up since I havent' been blogging like I should. Here are some more pictures of Ford and Josh one day we spent with him. I think this day we went to CiCi's pizza to eat! We sure love that place!

Next are some pictures from Ford and Riley's playdates over the past two weeks! One day we went swimming over at Ashley's mom's house. The next week, our moms and us went to eat breakfeast at Puffy Muffin. That was the most delicious breakfeast I have had in a while. Little Riley must have agreed since she ate a whole kids plate of pancakes and hashbrown caserole!!! WOW! I have never seen an 11 month old put down food like that! Then we went shopping at Hot Pink, then to the swimming pool again!

These are pictures from a night Todd and Susan Smith had us to their house to eat! The food was wonderful and the company was even better!! Grant and Grayson were precious with Ford and Ella Tate. Thank you for having us over!

A fun 4th!

The fourth was a fun filled day. It started with a parade in our parents neighborhood. All the children decorate their bikes, wagons, etc. to walk in the parade, and then win a prize at the end! So my dad decorated Ford's stroller, and we walked with him in the parade. And guess what?.....Ford won a trophy for having one of the best rides. One judge said the dew rag is what won it in the end! Later that day we went to eat with both sets of parents...who might I add live across the street from one another! It was a fun day, but with no fireworks due to the weather! Hopefully next year we can see some! Hope everyone else had a wonderful 4th too!

This Father's Day was very special since it was Gabe's first time to celebrate. Well of course we celebrated it last year even though Ford was not born, but this year was much better because our sweet boy was here with us! We had some pictures printed for Gabe and framed them as his gift. After going to church, we spent the afternoon with our parents. It was a wonderful day, and we look forward to many more Father's Days! We love you Gabe. You are a wonderful father and husband!I also have to tell my father how much I love him too! Two weekends ago we went to Tim's Ford Lake with a friend of Gabe's. The Martin family has a beautiful lake house that we occassionally get to go and stay at. We had a wonderful time. We are so thankful to Mrs. Martin for watching Ford for us so much will we were there. He definitely found a new friend with her! We had a great time swimming in the lake and taking a boat ride. Zoo day with Josh

This summer I am babysitting the most precious 8 year old I know...Josh Walkup! I keep him 2 days a week. Ford and Josh have so much fun playing together. On Friday we went to the Zoo. It was one of the hottest days ever, but the zoo was not crowded at all so that was nice. We stayed for 2 hours. Josh was our tour guide. He carried his zoo map around everywhere with him. We had a fun time there. After the zoo we ate lunch at Moe's and then went to get in the baby pool to cool off! It was such a fun day with the two boys!best buddiesjosh with his zoo map

Last week, I took Ford to the park with Maddie and Josh. We had a wonderful time, despite the heat. Josh and Maddie enojyed pushing Ford in the swing. He would not stop laughing while he was swinging. Josh and Maddie were so sweet with him. He loves being around them!

Water Party

On Wednesday, Laura and Ella Tate Alsup had some children for church over for a water and splash party. We all had such a wonderful time. We had fun in the sun and then had a delicious lunch that everyone had provided. It was Ford's first time in the baby pool. He love it, and he could have spent the whole day in it and become a little prune. He was so tired he crashed during lunch in the midst of all the noise. 10 months!

Another month passes...Ford is getting so smart. I feel like everyday is a new thing. He is constantly making Gabe and me laugh. I had a hard time taking pics of him because he wouldn't sit still. Alot of the pictures are blurry...but here are the ones that made the final cut! We love you little bubba!

There have been a few adventures lately that I have not blogged about...so this will be a catch-up post. First, a couple weeks ago, Ford and I went to the library with Courtney, Nolen, and Grady for story time. We had planned to go to the zoo, but when we pulled up there were almost 10 buses unloading. Unfortunately we skipped the zoo and headed for story time! It was so much fun and we went to chick-fil-a afterward where the boys gobbled up some chicken!

The next set of pics are from my parents house. They bought Ford this little plastic chair to sit in, and he loves it. One of his new things is to crawl around with things in his mouth. He will do this with food, toys, remotes, etc. It's pretty funny to watch.

We also have just celebrated Laura Alsup's birthday. We went and had pedicures for her treat! It was so relaxing. We ate at Bronte afterward, and went to see baby Reese too! We sure missed having Courtney and Katherine with us though!

Memorial Day fun!

Memorial Day was like every other holiday in our family....lots of food! We spent the day with both of our families cooking out. Then later that night we went to a cookout to celebrate Jake and Courtney moving...aka...a goodbye to their house party! It was a wonderful day! Mother's Day 2009

Well my first Mother's Day was already the best!! The weekend was wonderful time spent with my amazing husband and our sweet little boo boo bear! On Sunday morning I awoke to a spread of gifts downstairs on our foyer table. It was a very special day. We then went to church to hear a touching lesson on mother's from brother Bill. 9 Month check up...

Last Wednesday, Ford had his 9 month check up. Dr. Ewing says he is a very healthy boy! She told us to start doing more table foods, and to make sure and baby proof the house. He got two shots and a finger poke. He did very well with all three boo boos! Here are his 9 month stats:

In the past month we have celebrated several birthdays! We started with Hannah's birthday. We went to Macaroni Grill. It was so yummy.

Second we celebrated Hunter's 30th birthday. For his celebration we went to Rose Pepper Cantina! It was delicious.

Next was Katherine Bennett's b-day. Now this one was one of my personal favorites because I love Pancake Pantry!! Alsways a winner in my book:)

Last, but certainly not least, we went to Maggiano's to enjoy a bday dinner for Jake. Family style is awesome!

Wow...how quickly time flies. I know those of you with children are thinking "that's nothing new to me." But it is diffucult to handle when your child is growing up so fast. Children are such a blessing. I think that is why I always enjoyed babysitting so much.

Ford is doing so many things at 9 months. I know I will forget to write down alot of the in this post.

At 9 months....

This weekend, Samantha Farley and David Cox tied the knot!! Yay for my best friend! They were married on May 2nd at Lone Oak Church of Christ in Paducah, KY. I was the matron of honor, which was kindof a big deal to me! I felt so honored!! The wedding turned out beautifully, and Sam and David looked so happy together. It was a wonderful wedding weekend. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Cox!!

Bridesmaids Brunch

My best friend, Samantha Farley, got married this weekend. The weekend before, my mom, me, and my Maw Maw threw a brinch for her and all the bridessmaids at Puffy Muffin! We had a wonderful time visiting with each other. We put together a scrapbook for her, and she gave us a beautiful broach to wear on our dresses on the wedding day! It was such a gorgeous day to celebrate too!

Last week was full of fun. We started off by going to my friend Kristin's beautiful new home in Green Hills. We got to visit and get some lunch at Bread and Co. Later on, Hollis, Kristin's nephew came over to play with Ford. I think they had a good time! Thank you Kim for letting him come by! After that we went over to visit the Kirklands. I babysat Bonner and Hayden for several years. I grew to be so attached to them. They visited Ford when he was 3 weeks old but have not seen him since. So we went over to their house to visit and play. We also had to take them some bday gifts! Ford loved watching them play and run around!

Easter Sunday

Ford's 1st Easter was a blast! The Easter bunny hopped right over to our house and to both of his grandparents houses to leave him some fun surprises! However, he was much more interested in the Easter eggs and the basket itself than the neat gifts! Maybe next year we can have an egg hunt! After church we went to eat this Noni and Papa and Gabe's family. Then we went to Nan Nan and B dad's for lunch! It was a busy Easter. Ford took a great nap in the afternoon! I am finally posting Ford's 8 month pics and stats. So basically for this past month Ford has been learning how to get into everything. He is so busy!! I can't imagine what messes he is going to make once he begins crawling. He keeps getting more and more fun though! We cannot take our eyes off him for a minute or he will be into a basket or pulling a cord! Even though he cannot crawl, he finds a way to scoot or roll to something he wants. Here are Ford's 8 month stats.

At 8 months...

Has four teeth...two on top and two on bottom

Can get to any object laying near him...will roll 5-6 times in a row if need be

Has a pouty face when something is taken from him

Loves eating anything we are eating at meal times...especially broccoli cheese soup from Panera

Ford and Eleanor's playdate

Last friday, Eleanor Ewing came over to play with Ford. She looked so cute in her little outfit...she even wore a pretty pink bow to impress Ford! They had a great time laying on the floor looking at each other! At one point Ford grabbed Eleanor's outfit, and Eleanor did not appreciate that, so she let out a cry! Eleanor also took a nap in Ford's bed....good thing someone will sleep in that nice crib! I had a wonderful time visiting with Eleanor's mommy. We are excited to have them as friends! What a sweet and pretty little girl!

So last week we had some really nice weather. Gabe, Ford, and I went to play at Pinkerton Park. We love this park. Ford wore his new shades and got to swing for the first time. He loved the swing. We are going to have to get him one for the back yard! Here are some cute pics from our fun day!At the start of the walk...obviously too cool for school!

Also the next day we decided we needed a jogging stroller to fit in with the other cool people at the park...just kidding! But we found this one NEW at Play it Again Sports in Cool Springs! It rolls so smoothly it is amazing! Ford thinks it's pretty comfy too!!

Inner City Catfish Dinner!

Last Thursday night we attended the annual Inner City catfish dinner at the fair grounds. It was Ford's first one. Gabe and I have attended for 4 years now. We always look forward to this special night! The food is delicious, and it is great to see friends from other churches who are there too! Ford's favorite thing at the dinner was the iced tea! He for some reason found my cup of tea very interesting so I gave him a taste, and then he would whine for it until I gave him more! All in all it was a wondreful night, and they raised $141,000 for their wonderful ministry!

Training them early...

Of course shopping is one of my favorite things to do....besides just being with Ford all day! But Ford loves shopping and being out too! So I guess it is the best of both my favorite things at once! So of course I am training him to enjoy shopping too....So last Tuesday we went over to the Alsup's house to meet Laura and Ella Tate, and Courtney and Nolen to go shopping at TJ Maxx. We all rode in one car, that is three adults and three babies, which was quite exciting between Courtney having to use the back hatch of the car to get in, and then all three babies crying at spontaneous times! But we did have alot of fun. We stopped at Starbucks on the way to get a drink. And then we spent about an hour and a half in TJ. I think was all bought a couple items for the kids easter baskets! It was a blast and the babies were very good while we were there! We will have to do it again soon!

Day with Daddy!

Gabe took a day off last week. We spent most of the day at home and had a wonderful day. We ate lunch together at Mellow Mushroom in downtown Franklin. Then we went to Curious Gourmet across the street, and I got a cupcake. It was delicious! Ford had a fun time looking at all the shops on Main Street. We played the rest of the afternoon at home, and later that night went to the Alsup's house! What a fun day we had with Daddy!happy boy!i love my little buddyford and daddy having fun

Happy 1 year old birthday Grayson!

Last Saturday we went to Grayson Wilson's very 1st birthday! It was a blast. Hannah, Joey, and Hannah's mother and brother did a wonderful job with the party. Grayson had his own cupcake. I think he really enjoyed it. He also racked up on gifts! Ford also tried a bit of cupcake and boy did he love it! We had a wonderful time at the party. Thank you to the Wilson's for inviting us to this very special party! Grocery shopping fun

Ford and i went to publix last week. He got to try out his new shopping cart cover that we ordered from Laura Alsup's cousin! She makes beautiful covers for grocery carts and highchairs! Her blog is http://beccabebecreations.blogspot.com/ Check it out ya'll!

On another note, Ford and I also saved $22 shopping at Publix. We bought lots of buy one get one frees. I have also been following this great blog that has links to coupons you can use at publix! Splish splash I was taking a bath...

Ford absolutely loves bath time! I don't think he has ever been one to cry while he is being bathed, even from early on. He especially loves playing with his bath toys these days. He out grew his baby bath a long time ago, and he takes baths in our garden tub in our master bath. He loves hitting his hands down in the water! He also tries to suck the water out of the wash cloth when we wash his face...yuck!

Winter Squash

Ford tried winter squash for the first time a few weeks ago. Needless to say, he did not much care for it. He definitely shows you what he thinks of it by his faces. It also gave him the shivers. I think eventually he liked it....well maybe. Here are the pics.

By the way, has anyone tried the Earth's Best baby foods? I think they are wonderful! Ford seems to really enjoy them, plus they are all organic! I really believe organic is best when it comes to our precious children. Publix tends to run specials on these baby foods. If you haven't tried them, I encourage you to!

7 Months!

Obviously February did not have 30 days, so we will say today is Ford's 7 month b-day! He is still growing like a weed. It seems like he learns something new each day. He finally has gotten 1 tooth (the bottom right front one) and fixing to cut another one. He had been so fussy for a week or so, and it finally made sense when that tooth broke through last Friday 2/27. Ford is also learning to eat more solids these days. He is supposed to be on rice cereal 2 x day and veggies/ fruits 2-3 x day. We are trying to get this much in, but to be honest, he likes just having milk and would probably do without the solids! He does love fruit though. He also enjoys biter biscuits! As far as sleep goes....he still wakes up 1-2 times a night:( We are working on getting him to sleep through the night...so stayed tuned! He is a great napper though. If we are at home he will take 2 naps that are 1 1/2-2 hours. That is a great time for me to get things done around the house or nap with him which seems impossible these days! But he truly is such a happy baby. We are so blessed! Trip to Cincinnati

On Friday, we left to go to Cincinati for the weekend. Gabe was having a reunion for his high school basketball team who were the only ones in Calvary Christian history to win the State Championship! Yay go Daddy! So we traveled up there with Gabe's parents. Ford did really well on the way up. He took two naps and so did I. We stayed in a nice hotel, The Hilton, with a comfy bed. Calvary had cake and snacks for all the old basketball team members during their current high school team game. Then at half time their old coach called the team out to the court and said some very nice things about his team. Gabe was so excited about getting to see all his old teammates and coach. We ate at Skyline Chili afterwards, which is Gabe's favorite thing EVER! We headed back the next day in the afternoon after eating at Bob Evans and shopping some! Thank you to Gabe's parents for taking us up there! We love you very much. And thank you to Ford for being the best baby in the world!

It is a picture of me and my parents at a wedding I was in two Augusts ago. It was Kristin Carman and Branson Stevens wedding! It was such a fun and beautiful wedding. Lunch with Riley

We went to lunch with baby Riley and mommy Ashley last week. Ford and Riley had a fun time sitting in their high chairs beside each other. We ate at Cozumel which was yummy! We can't wait to see them again!

Valentine's Day 2009

What fun Valentine's morning! Gabe, Ford, and I exchanged gifts and played. Ford tried pears for the first time....and yummy....he loved them! Later in the afternoon, we went to Ellie's birthday party. She is turning 7 years old! I cannot believe how big she is getting. She got lots of fun presents, and we all hada blast. Later that night Gabe and I cooked steaks and browned butter pasta to celebrate the day of LOVE! The loot!Ford reading his V-day cardyummy pears!

Maw Maw sure loves little Ford. She made him two very special pillows for his nursery. One is for his chair, and I monogrammed it. The other one is a mini pillow for his crib! She did a wonderful job. We love our Maw Maw! Thank you so much!

Applesauce, biter biscuit, and more...

Ford had applesauce for the first time a week ago. He really loved it. I think it is his favorite thing he has had so far. He gobbled the whole jardown in no time. We also gave him a biter biscuit which he loved, but kind of got bored of and just started hitting it around on his high chair. We also let him try some melt aways....BIG mistake! He got choked on one and threw up everything he had just eaten! Poor little one, but he was perfectly fine afterward. Needless to say, we will not be trying melt aways anytime soon! With a melt away on his face!he loved the biter biscuit

Super Bowl fun!

We had some friends over to watch the Super Bowl! We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone. The food everyone brought was delicious too! The children had a great time playing....especially Grady and Shane. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends at church!

Ford's 6 month check up

Ford went to have his 6 month check up last week. He is a very healthy boy and gets to start eating veggies and fruits 3 times a day and rice cereal one time a day! He got 4 shots:( But did not cry until the third shot went in. Dr. Ewing said he is right where he needs to be! And thank you too nurse Mari Anne for doing a wonderful job with the shots. Ford loves you and Dr. Ewing!
